I bought the complete series (5 books) for my five year old daughter who has a life threatening allergy to peanuts and allergies to nuts & soy. She LOVED all five books! They were fun and introduced the social aspect of handling food allergies without the scary information about medicines and all. It was the perfect series to show her that it is "no biggie" to bring safe snacks and foods wherever we go so that she can participate without being left out! My three year old daughter enjoyed it, too, and is a great advocate for her big sister!The "medical" book was not overly textbook, either. It introduces the basics to kids with food allergies: don't share food, wash your hands before and after, be sure to tell an adult if you feel funny, and share with your friends the fact that you have food allergies.
Overall, four great stories and one conversation starter is all you need to begin this journey!
