Edric took a deep, shuddering breath, and sunk to his knees in front of the big man, looking up at him in hope and fear.
Thorvald looked down, frowning. "What's this?"
"I...would pleasure you," Edric said, trying hard to keep his voice firm.
These men admired courage, not weakness. And this...it was either the bravest thing he had ever done, or the craziest. "If you give me my freedom in exchange."
There was a pause. Edric didn't look away from Thorvald's fierce, icy blue eyes, but he sensed the other men listening intently all around them.
"I see," Thorvald said, and that same grim smile curved his lips. "You think there is a bargain to be made, here, do you? You think you're at the market, selling fish?"
Edric didn't know how to respond. "No, I -"
"And do you have experience pleasuring men?"
Thorvald's fierce eyes watched him grimly, and Edric knew he could not lie to this man. Not if he wished to live.
"No," he said quietly. "I do not." He had heard some stories, boasts, filthy tales told at night, but that was all.
"Or women?"
Edric swallowed, feeling the blush rise to his cheeks. "No."
There was a hush of indrawn breath from the men all around them.

Laughter erupted again from the men around them, and Edric shuddered.

This started out with enough back story to catch me! It was interesting to see the mindset of the character and how it helped him in his 'sacrifice' to save his village. It didn't read as rape so much as coercion. I enjoyed this story. The only thing I didn't like is that it was really short. Right when you get into it and want to see what happens next, it ends! I believe this story could go a lot further than it had. But all together it was a good, hot read!Product details

I rate this book a five. First time reading one of her books. A very good book A must read.
He shouldn't have shared!! This story would have been better if this Thor were to keep him to himself. They can have each other while Viking Thor had his own...
This SHORT story is packed full of hot m/m sex that goes on throughout nearly the entire book. I enjoyed it and have reread it several times.
Female reader and yes sometimes I find a little MM action hot. That was the case here. First their Vikings. That's hot. Then it's guy on guy with some great scenes. I'm there. Will read more by this author.
I want it longer. This was a well written story, with strong characters. I wanted more. Would love to have seen what happened later. How they build a.... not relationship, but whatever it is they have. Still worth the read as it is. I enjoyed this.
The character development was really well written. I had a pretty easy time understanding his background and why he made the choice he made. The story dances a fine line between dubious consent and forced consent. This does read as a promising start to a longer story, but the price jump is a downer.
There isn't really any storyline to speak of or character development, it's really just about the sex. This is about a boy's first time experiencing gay sex. It basically starts out as rape and then moves into pleasure for the boy. This is not a story I would recommend solely based on the forced group sex aspect of it.
